i’m sorry i can’t get over the message of bill and ted 3 was “you save the world not with a mythically perfect piece of art but by celebrating your kids’ weirdness and creativity the way your own father never did with you and that love will spread across humanity through the things that they’ll create” like i’m fine i just gotta get choked up first (X)

also can i just say i love how throughout the movies it’s sort of an unacknowledged but constant thing that ted wears warm colours (primarily red) and bill wears cool colours (purple in the first, green in the second, and blue in the third). and then in the third with billie and thea, billie wears bill’s colour palette (her main outfit is green, blue, and purple) and thea wears ted’s colour palette (red shirt, red shoes). bill thinking that ted died in the first film is treated much more tragically than both bill and ted Actually Dying in the second film because what bill and ted are afraid of isnt death, but being separated from each other. in this essay i will (X)

in both the excellent adventure commentaries they mention that there were deleted scenes where bill n ted were super friendly to everyone at school but everyone was mean to them and bnt knew and didn't care and still chose to be nice anyway (X)

Theres some canon dispute between the bill and ted comics and the movies because the comics call their daughters their sons and that was never officially retconned so heres my take: because the comics only show billie and thea as babies, theres a 25 year gap that is totally unaccounted for. We dont know what happened, and babies dont even have a concept of gender yet, so their dads calling them william and theodore isnt problematic from a moral or canonical standpoint, because they literally couldnt have known anything concrete yet. Therefore, wilhelmina logan and theadora preston are both trans women, and bill and ted are supremely supportive, proud, and loving fathers. In this essay I will (X)

I have bill and teds excellent adventure outfits memorized so well... like the costume designers included all these little details that most people probably never pick up on but if you look at pictures of the outfits enough times you just grow to love how bill colored in the converse logo on his shoes with green marker or how ted had a shoelace hanging near the buttons of his jacket that just sorta is there for no discernable reason.... and the best detail of all is of course their matching friendship bracelets which they have kept on through all 3 movies. I love it so much. (X)
