Reminder

Reminder was posted on March 15th, 2012.

It has the description "iknowyou".

This video features a bright close up shot of tree branches. Followed by a shot of a field surrounded by trees. White text over the shot: “Do you remember me?” A distorted image of a face flashes briefly at 0:10. Then, a shot of Jay looking into the windows of the antique store taken from across the street. White text on screen reads “I have not forgotten.”

This video is a message to Jay - although time has passed, totheark is still watching Jay closely and intends to keep doing so. The footage of Jay peeking into the Antique Shop's windows is a direct response to Jay's own footage of himself doing this in the previous uploaded entry #53. Just because Jay has switched focus to following Tim doesn't mean that totheark's goals have changed at all.

Decay

Decay was posted on April 4, 2012 - the second of totheark's Birthday Videos.

Its description is "011001010110111001100100011010000110100101101101" - (endhim).

The beginning of the video is a few different shots of Alex, in conjunction with the text "You caused this" and "You will never be forgiven". Footage of Jay is then shown, in conjunction with the text "He will lead me to you" and "Lead me to death". Footage of a bright yellow shot of the woods, with text on screen: “Lead me to the ark” The numbers 14, 15, 3, 8, 15, 9, 3, and 5 flash around the words. Then, footage of a completely white figure of a person with glowing red eyes. The words “Always watching” are around him. Finally, a shot of an eye with spots of random colors swirling around the screen. More digital squealing.

The numbers that flashed on screen translate through alpha-numeric code to "no choice". The squealing noise at the end of the video is a spectograph that spells out "Today is your last birthday".

This video is twofold - a birthday video for Alex and a response to the footage Jay uploaded in Entry #54, which showed Tim, Brian, and Alex hanging out after a day of filming for the Marble Hornets movie project and goofing off together. It's both another threat aimed at Alex, and an angry response to the reminder that they used to be good friends - although they were close once, Alex ruined everything and will never be forgiven for it. totheark intends to kill Alex and presumably die himself after the task is done.

Session

Session was posted on May 14, 2012.

It has the description "closeby i seeyou as always".

Various clips, mostly of children in a classroom or with a camera/projector are shown with text reading "one day you will understand", "secrets everywhere", "liars everywhere", "look closely and you will know", "see you soon", "hes watching".

This video was uploaded after Entry #57, which contained uploaded footage of college-era Tim being hunted by Alex after they went location scouting to the Abandoned Hospital in the Rosswood area. It's possible that this video was a message directed towards Tim - although the previous Tim didn't understand what was happening when Alex attacked him, the present day Tim will understand it. 'He's watching' could also be another allusion to the fact that Alex has been keeping up with the Marble Hornets channel since its inception - another fruitless warning to Jay that Alex is aware of where he's at in his investigation and is being kept up to date with what Jay knows.

Reference

Reference was posted on June 22, 2012.

It has the description "do not fail".

The words "LOOK TO THE ORIGINS" appear. Tim's rant from Entry #59 plays, at high speed and distorted as an image of a tunnel is seen. A mask emerges from the darkness, the words "TRUTH WITH LIGHT" and a series of numbers appear - 1912, 85, 41, 89, 1420, 95, 1811, 199.

When translated into letters through pairs, the numbers spell out "his lies in the dark" - a contrast to the 'truth with light' text from earlier.

This video was uploaded roughly a week before Entry #60, wherein Jay was given a copy of Tim's medical records from when he was a child, revealing that Tim has been likely plagued by the Operator since he was a kid. Although Tim angrily implies Jay to be the problem in #59, the 'truth' is that Tim may well be the origins of the sickness. It's possible the revelation of this knowledge is what caused the split between the Masked Man and the Hooded Man - one reason they no longer seem to be working together.

observation

Observation was posted on August 1, 2012.

It has the description "waitingon you".

This video features distorted black and white footage of Tim, seemingly taken from outside his bedroom window. Tim walks into the room, sits on his bed for a bit - where an Operator mark briefly flashes over his head - and then he takes some of his medication before seeming alerted by something outside. He walks up to the window - a brief shot of his mask flashes over his face - and looks outside before the video cuts.

entry

"entry" was posted on August 8, 2012 on the original Marble Hornets channel.

It has the description "this is for you to see".

It was taken down and reuploaded as Entry #61 later that same day.

The video contains footage of the Hooded Man breaking into Tim's house and stealing his medication. When he hears Tim come home, he sets his camera up in the closet and hides in it. Tim comes into the room looking haggard and suffering from a coughing fit. He looks for his medication, and when he's unable to find it, he has a seizure, text on screen reads "LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE CAUSED". When he comes out of it, he cries for a bit, and eventually gets up and staggers away. The Hooded Man reemerges from the closet, and text on screen reads "WHERE COULD HE HAVE GONE" and "THIS IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE". Numbers 01110100011 0100001100 10101110100 01110010011 00101011001 01 011 10011 Flash over the screen - translates to "the trees", likely referencing Rosswood Park where Tim's medical records said he tended to run off to when he was a child.

Isolation

Isolation was posted on September 15, 2012.

It has the description "alonealonealone".

This video features footage of several wooded locations. The first is the Red Building where Jay and Tim woke up at the end of the previously uploaded Entry #62. Text reads "WHO IS HE", slightly altered to read "WHO ARE YOU. Shot cuts to new footage of the Hooded Man in the footage, walking towards the camera. Cuts again to a wall of the red building, where an eye is superimposed over a gap, text below it reads "WHERE IS HE". The screen is briefly filled with the text "WHERE" repeated edge to edge. The shot cuts to new footage of the Hooded Man in the woods, standing next to or in the doorway of a building. The words "MEET AGAIN SOON" are shown briefly at the center of the frame. For an instant there's a static noise and an image of The Operator is superimposed next to Hoody. The words "FOLLOWS ALL" appear at that time.

This upload seems to be a lament of sorts. Tim, for a time, operated as the Masked Man alongside the Hooded Man, but is now working - maskless - with Jay. The Hooded Man seems maybe a little bereft by this, maybe wondering 'which' Tim is the 'real' one - the one he worked with or the one appearing clueless alongside Jay. The "meet again soon" may be a request for Tim to return as his partner or may just imply that they'll wind up crossing paths with one another soon.

Display

Display was posted on October 25, 2012.

It has the description "ey ess ee" - (eyes see)

This video features a shot of the ocean with fish swimming around. Text in the corner reads "REMEMBER". Cut to two faces flashing on the screen. A street with a street lamp is out of focus. Text in the corner reads "YOU ABANDONED HIM". Cut to a shot of an out of focus person walking towards the camera, text overlaps the previous reading "I SAW". Footage of someone running through what appears to be the forest of Rosswood Park. Panting can be heard. Text reads "HE IS SEARCHING" - the words "Alex" and "For you" briefly appear on screen, changing the text to "ALEX IS SEARCHING FOR YOU". Several other shots of footage appear, the person on the street again, now closer, a red screen with what may be a pixelated Marble Hornets logo, the Tunnel in Rosswood flooded with water, a screen full of 0s with some letters spelling out "WATCH DEATH" interspersed between them.

This video was posted after Jay uploaded Entry #64, where Jay and Tim went to investigate the tunnel and encountered the Operator. Jay attempted to help Tim back up from where he'd collapsed from a coughing fit, but failed, and ran off alone at Tim's behest. totheark seems to be spitefully calling out Jay for leaving him behind, as well as warning them that the phone call from Alex wasn't a coincidence - he is still following Jay and Tim, and closely.

Surveillance

Surveillance was posted on Dec 30, 2012.

It has the description: 1561571451 6515615116 4156157143 - ("noeunitnoc", or "continue on" backwards)

This video is largely made up of several televisions set up in the forest. Some shots show the television breaking/decaying, of the hooded man's reflection in the screen, entry footage superimposed over them, or of text being shown on the screens. Text throughout the video reads "SEES" "NOW", "PERMANENCE", "79758327727224 82756813832779", a series of question marks, "688357682483 797983577557".

The numbers at the end translate to "truly your fault" and "shes out there".

Around this time a code was also posted on twitter - "9513390313793583953179" - "I am watching".

Since this video was uploaded after Jay's posting of Entry #65, which detailed what happened to Tim after Jay ran off in the Tunnel. The "truly your fault" could be a message to Jay - because he left Tim behind, everything that happened to Tim after this was Jay's fault. Another spiteful dig maybe aimed at both of them - "this wouldn't have happened if Tim was still working with me" ?

68

68 was posted on the main Marble Hornets channel, and was reuploaded by Jay about an hour later as Entry #68, posted on March 20, 2013.

The description reads "68".

This video contains footage of the Hooded Man, walking through an open field, into the woods, and then into an abandoned building. He sits on the mattress inside the building, and removes his hood to drink some water - keeping his face carefully out of frame. He gets up to walk around the building, checking windows and doors, and then is surprised by Alex running up behind him and knocking him down. Alex says, voice distorted, "Where did they go? Where are Jay and Tim? Wipe that stupid smile off your face." The Hooded Man pushes Alex off of him and runs off into the woods, Alex shouts after him "You can run all you want! I will find you!". In response, text on screen reads "You will not". The footage shifts from the Hooded Man running to a brief glimpse of Alex from earlier in the entry.Then, a shot from inside of the maintenance tunnel of the hospital facing the entrance. The words “You are afraid” are over the center of the shot. The words change to “I am not” at 4:00. Someone is seen jumping down into the tunnel at 4:03. Again, it cuts to The Hooded Man is sitting in one of the tunnels facing the camera with a lantern next to him. The sound of footsteps begin to get closer. At 4:24, he reaches over and turns the lantern off. White text on screen: “You are trapped” Briefly changes to "We are trapped" at 4:33.

Decline

Decline was posted on April 4, 2013 - the third of totheark's Birthday videos.

It has the description "canyousee anytruth atall".

The video is made up largely of footage of several different landscapes, intercut with footage of Alex tied to the chair from Entry #67, footage of the Hooded Man attacking Alex, footage of Tim attacking Alex, and footage of the Hooded Man pointing the gun at Alex. Text superimposed over the footage reads "EVERYTHING IS NORMAL", "EVERYTHING IS FINE", "I WORRY ABOUT NOTHING", "BECAUSE NOTHING'S ON MY MIND". At the end of the video an Operator symbol is shown on a wall, the numbers “83 57 03 95 27 27 35 13 72” are painted below it, followed by a quick shot of Alex with blood on his face from Entry #14.

The numbers on the wall at the end translate to "He will pay". A Spectograph at the end of the video reads "HAVE YOU MADE ME A LIAR????? OR IS HE GONE"

This video is made up of several cut together shots from varying entries and uploads. Beginning with a human shaped figure seen briefly in the background with white text appears on screen: ENTRY #000.129519. Footage of Tim from Entry 72 begins in the background, screen still garbled. Tim points to the house and begins to walk to it, White text appears on screen reads "WHO ARE THE LIARS". Cut to footage from Entry 74 of Jay sitting on a bed plays with distorted dialogue, with White text appearing on screen reading "ARE YOU ONE OF THEM". This video is made up of several cut together shots from varying entries and uploads. A picture of the ground through a night vision camera shakes in the background behind an extremely distorted picture of a person. The words “Another failure” are in the corner. Cut to a picture of Tim standing in the woods. His head briefly splits into two separate faces before going back to normal. The words “You are not trusted” on screen. Cut to a picture of Jay is on one side of the screen with the words “Deeper and deeper we go” on the other side, partially hidden behind a series of white and black bars. Cut to a clip of Tim finding the stranger’s body from Entry #65 plays. The words “Where there is no light” is in the lower corner. Cut to a picture of who looks like Alex. The picture is flickering and heavily distorted. The words “He is distorted” are next to him. The sound changes to what sounds like people talking unintelligibly. A black screen with the words “You are distorted” is shown just before the video ends.

This video was uploaded after Entry #75 and #76, wherein Tim attempted to hide a tape from Jay, causing the two of them to fight. Tim failed to keep the tape from Jay, and Jay no longer trusts Tim. Everyone is being distorted by the trauma of the situation and the Operator's influence.

Quadrant

This video features several extremly distorted shots of various locations - the abandoned hospital in Rosswood and several buildings from the college where Benedict Hall is located. Some black and white movie footage appears to bleed over the footage, and a final shot of a blurry face (possibly Alex?) is shown. totheark's note to Jay regarding Benedict Hall shows around the halfway mark, and text at the end reads "WHO AM I", "THE THIRD" being briefly added in at the end. White text over a blue screen reads "N E1Y IMC 6C9?" - translating to "I CANNOT HELP".

Audio over the video seems to be a distorted rendition of "3 blind mice". Distorted audio clip seems to say "HOLD YOUR FORMATION. DO NOT DO THIS. HOLD OFF. STAY PUT. EVERYONE IS GOING TO..."

This video seems to be a message to Jay, who in the previous Entry said that he was watching Benedict Hall and waiting to make a move. This upload seems to be totheark's attempt to tell him to stop and wait - if Jay doesn't hold his position, something bad is going to happen, and totheark won't be able to help him.

The "WHO AM I - THE THIRD" message at the end of the video has often been taken as an indication that there are more members of totheark than just The Masked Man and the Hooded Man. I'm largely ambivalent about the existence of a third totheark member, but I do tend to rest more solidly on the "I doubt it" side of things. To me, I feel as though the mention of a third is more of a tie-in to the song that plays in the background of the video. This upload is, essentially, a declaration from the Hooded Man that he's lost control of the situation at Benedict and things aren't going according to plan. Him questioning if he's "the third" could be an assertion that perhaps he's one of the "three blind mice" after all - he thought that he knew what was going on, and knew enough to have the most control out of everyone, but now that things have gone wrong, he's doubting himself. Maybe he didn't know anything he thought he knew after all, maybe he's just as blind as everyone else is.

Null

Null was uploaded on February 20, 2014.

It has the description " = LOC ATI ON =".

This video is largely made up of several outdoors, nature shots - close ups of trees, a lake brambles, and some abandoned structure. Text throughout the video reads "IT IS SILENT", "WHO IS LEFT TO HEAR THE SECRET" (Briefly altered to read "WHO IS LEFT TO HEAR YOUR SECRET"), "DO YOU KNOW", "I HAVE FOR YEARS", "ARK AWAITS", "WHAT DO YOU SEE" (Briefly altered to read "WHAT DO YOU HEAR". Briefly altered again to read "WHAT WILL YOU SEE"), "REGARDS", followed by a series of garbled numbers and letters.

The letters interspersed with the garbled numbers at the end spell out "B R I N" - and an operator symbol, translated to "BRIAN" - the finally revealed identity of the Hooded Man.

This was the last video published to the totheark channel. The next Entry uploaded to the Marble Hornets channel in March reveals that the Hooded Man fell to his death.
